Cameras are used for surveillance. Surveillance is the monitoring of someones behavior, activities or the collection of other information for the purpose of protecting your personal belongings, information and/or protecting your family. One of the ways to observe someone is by using electronic equipment such as cameras or a telephone recorder. The word surveillance means to watch over. It is a French phrase, sur meaning “from above” and veiller means “to watch”. Surveillance is used by many. Some use surveillance for the prevention of crime, protecting a person or ones private property.
